Work we do
Repairs that start with the engineer's drawings.
Most of our work is structural restoration on occupied condominium and apartment buildings, where residents stay in their homes, the engineer signs off on every repair, and the association needs to see where the money went. We also take on general contracting for commercial and residential owners.

Who we serve
Built for the people who answer for the job.
A restoration project has a board that approves it, a manager who runs the building, and an engineer whose name is on the drawings. Each needs something different from the contractor.
Condominium & HOA boards
An itemized price, unit prices for the conditions nobody can see until the concrete comes out, and a plain account of what was repaired and what it cost.
Property managers
One point of contact, coordinated access to units and parking, and daily reports you can forward to the board.
Structural engineers
We price what's on your drawings, build to your details, put questions in writing, and measure quantities with you in the field.

General contracting for commercial and residential work, from fit-outs to full renovations, with an owner who still prices every job himself.
Process
How a restoration job runs.
Concealed conditions are the hard part of restoration work. This sequence keeps the price honest and the record clean from bid day to closeout.
-
1
Engineer's documents
We price the engineer's drawings and specifications. Quantities come off the drawings, so every bidder is pricing the same job.
-
2
Itemized bid
Base scope, unit prices for concealed conditions, and clear exclusions. Contracts on standard AIA forms.
-
3
Survey & mark-out
Before demolition, we sound and mark repair areas in the field with the engineer.
-
4
Repair under observation
Shoring, removal, reinforcing and placement to the engineer's details, with the engineer observing the work.
-
5
Documented closeout
Measured quantities, daily reports and photos, AIA pay applications, and warranty documents.
About
KHW Construction Inc., established 2014.
KHW Construction is a general contractor based in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, with a crew of 12 to 15. Since 2014 our focus has been structural restoration on multi-family buildings, carried out under the supervision of licensed structural engineers.
President and Lead Estimator George J. Wetton is a master carpenter with more than four decades in the trade. He came up through the field as a carpenter, foreman and superintendent on commercial construction for national restaurant chains, then on bank work including branch renovations, vaults and ATM installations. Before founding KHW he ran GJW Builder Inc., doing residential work, fit-outs and renovations in retirement communities.
He has run projects up to $2.8 million as general contractor, and he still prices every KHW bid himself.
